I can understand two-bit Linux Distros like Arch Linux ‘n the ‘Archies’ not knowing what auto scrolling is, but Google…yes, *THE* Google, ‘is an American multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, a search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. It is considered one of the five Big Tech companies along with Amazon, Facebook, Apple, and Microsoft’.

OK OK…Chromebook is just a Laptop ‘n not a Desktop computer, and they do come with a touchpad (scrolls a lot better than a mouse on Chrome OS can); however, the Chromebook I just bought (my first) came with a mouse, and I expected it to auto scroll. Heck, Chrome OS barely has any settings for a mouse!?

Linux and the basic Wheel Mouse:

Maybe Google’s Chrome OS employees have never heard of a mouse or auto scrolling? Here’s a pic on what auto scrolling is:

This is what the basic mouse settings for scrolling should look like:

Yes, there are other Tabs for more Mouse Properties settings, and not just the one.

Here is what the so-called mouse settings on my new Chromebook look like:

In Chrome OS, the Touchpad offers more setting than the Mouse has!?! One can definitely see the workings of the Linux Kernel in Chrome OS…

Well, I do like the Chromebook well enough that I just bought another one, but it is now 2021 ‘n all Desktop/Laptop OSes should be able to handle more basic Wheel Mouse functions than simply ‘Point & Click,’ IMHO.

LINUX IS LIKE A BOX OF CHOCOLATES – you never know what you’re gonna get!
