Decided to make this a two part series after seeing how well the Windows 11 Installation Assistant worked (1st of the “3 options” mentioned on the Download Windows 11 website) wid updating the Frank‘ computer from Win11 Pro version 21H2 to 22H2 in Part 1 of this series.

Quick Intro

The Windows 11 2022 Update started rolling out in 190+ countries on 9/20/2022.

Panos Panay, EVP, Chief Product Officer, Windows + Devices wrote:

The last few years have brought enduring changes in the ways we live, work and learn, with the PC playing a more critical role in our daily lives. Online options that didn’t previously exist for meetings, appointments, everyday tasks and access to entertainment emerged out of necessity, but remain due to convenience and efficiency. We formed new habits; and they stuck. The PC has fundamentally connected us in more emotional ways than ever before.

The rapid move to more flexible work and life also dramatically increased security threats for individuals and businesses, with 921 password attacks every second.

There is no doubt that Windows 11 version 22H2 is the most secure operating system Evah!

The following article mentions “8” of the new features that the author likes:

Windows 11 Installation Assistant

You can check to see if your system is compatible, but it should be fine since you already have Windows 11 21H2 on it. Anyway, Microsoft is so great at what it does that I let it tell me if there is an issue. 😉

All you need to do is click the “Download Now” bar, and Microsoft does the rest. If there is a problem, the installation will stop ‘n tell you, otherwise is installs the new version 22H2.

You can wait for the 22H2 rollout to come to you, of course, but if you are ready now then use the Windows 11 Installation Assistant‘s simple & easy method.

XPS13‘ updated to 22H2

My Dell XPS 13 9310 lappy has just “8 day(s)” left on the free Dell one year service contract, so I got ‘Brave‘ this morning ‘n updated it to the new 22H2 version. The Windows 11 Installation Assistant method had worked so well on the Frank update that I went ahead ‘n finished my 22H2 updates:

Thusly, Apevia, Rose, Frank, and ‘XPS13 have all been updated from version 21H2 to 22H2 without any issues…other than reinstalling the Chess Titans games (AKA Windows 7 games for Windows 10). Oh, and the Windows 11 Installation Assistant had basically told me that the BIOS in the ‘Frank computer needed a setting’s change – switched from Discrete TPM to Firmware TPM.

Conclusion

Gotta love what Microsoft does for its users!!! This Windows 11 OS provides everything from free Security, free full system Backup and Restore, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

Also, this Windows 11 Installation Assistant is especially made for those interested in upgrading their “Windows 10 PC to Windows 11,” and now you can sorta get a double-upgrade in one step. Ditto on the Gotta love what Microsoft does for its users!!! 😊
